Monthly garbage service is included on each Southside Water Works and Sewer Board bill.
$27.00/month for one can - $5 extra for each additional can
*Note: Southside Water Works is not responsible for garbage collection, can requests, pricing, or any other garbage concerns. Payments collected for garbage services through SSWW are remitted to the City. All current and future garbage-related concerns will be directed to contact Southside City Hall at (256)442-9775.

Customers applying for service must remit a $100.00 non-refundable service connection fee.

Temporary Service Fee: $25.00 - Inspection/Cleaning (Real Estate, Landlords) – 30 days (max.) service

Transfer Service Fee: $25.00 -To transfer service from one location in Southside to another location in Southside
Non-refundable; Must be paid at each location
Meter Installation: $1,600.00 - 3/4" Meter, Residential - $1000 installation fee plus $100 connection fee and $500 impact fee*

Sewer Tie on Fee: $1,500.00 - Residential; (Sewer Not Available at all locations) - $1,000 sewer tap fee plus $500 impact fee*
Non-refundable; Must be paid at each location
Reconnect Fee: $25.00 - Added after disconnect for non-payment
Tampering Fee: $15.00 - Cut locks, etc.
Returned Check/Bank Draft Service Charge: $25.00
*Impact fee for commercial water and/or sewer service is $750.00 per service.
