LCRI Notification Letters Notice

Dear Southside Residents,

You may have received a letter recently regarding your water line material(s). This notification is a nationwide requirement by the EPA to notify residents who have unknown, galvanized, or lead service line materials.

While there is no lead in Southside’s utility-owned service lines, the EPA wants to make all water customers across the country aware that lead pipes may pose a health hazard. If you have lead or galvanized pipes in your home, the EPA recommends prompt replacement.

This classification noted in these letters is based on residents’ survey responses from April 2024 regarding customer-owned service line materials.

Due to an unfortunate formatting error, your letter may have the wrong name and/or identification on this round of letters. We apologize for this confusion, and the errors will be corrected before the next yearly notification letters.

If you would like to update or verify your classification, please give us a call or complete and return your Drinking Water Customer Survey available on our website.

Thank you

Southside Water Works and Sewer Board
